Computerworld has good info on WMF Flaw

WMF FAQ: What you need to know - Computerworld

Computerworld magazine has some of the most authoritative coverage on the latest Windows vulnerability, the "Windows Metafile" flaw. Check out the link.

Unfortunately for Microsoft's credibility, it seems to have muzzled its in-house blogger, Robert Scoble, whose popular blog, Scobleizer, only carries a one sentence reference to the issue that links to Microsoft's official statements on the problem. Microsoft now expects to have an "official" fix posted by 5pm eastern time today -- earlier than expected.

Computer security experts, appalled at the extent of the vulnerability and Microsoft's sluggish response, have been urging computer users to download an unofficial non-Microsoft patch, even though it risks causing other unexpected problems.
